PANEER MAKHANI - BUTTER PANEER


 A very well know Indian dish paneer makhani (Indian cottage cheese) is cooked in rich creamy tomato gravy. The name says it all! the cream and butter used in the gravy makes a delicious dish. Yet another simple and easy vegetarian curry.

Preparation time 20 mins
Marinating 2-4 hours
 Serves 3-4

INGREDIENTS

Paneer 250 gms
Tomato 3 (grind and make puree)
Yoghurt 3 tsp
Chili powder 1 tsp
Kasuri methi 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 ½ tsp
Butter 4 tsp
Fresh cream 2 tsp
Sugar ½ t sp
Garam masala ½ t sp
Salt to taste
Green chilli 2
Shahi zeera ½ t spn

METHOD

STEP 1: For marinating:
Marinate paneer with ginger garlic paste, yoghurt, salt, chili powder, kasurimethi ½ tsp, garam masal powder. Set aside for 2 hours.
STEP 2: Now grill the marinated paneer with the help of skewers or u can place them directly on a grilling pan or u can fry them on a non stick pan too.
STEP 2: Take a sauce pan heat butter, when the butter melts add shahi zeera, silted green chili fry it for a min. No w add tomato puree, salt, sugar and add water as required. Cook untill the oil separates from the tomato puree.
STEP 4: Now add the grilled paneer cubes to the tomato gravy .Cook for 3-4 mins, and then add fresh cream. Again stir it for 2 mins .Your paneer makhani is ready to serve .Garnish it with coriander leaves and cream.
