BLACK CHICK PEAS SALAD (kala chana chaat)





Black chick peas (kalachana) salad is super healthy with no oil, no sugar, no fat, high protein, low carbs and very tasty. Black chickpeas salad is spicy, tangy and can be hot if you add some more chilies to it.


INGREDIENTS

Black chick peas 1 cup (soak the dry chickpeas overnight or for 8-9 hours)

Chopped onions 1 tbl sp

Chopped tomato1 tbl sp

Chopped coriander leaves 1 tbl sp

Pomegranates 1 tbl sp

Green chili 1-2 chopped

Cucumber 1 tbl sp chopped

Red chili powder ½ tsp

Lemon juice1 tbl sp

Chaat masala 1 tsp

Salt to taste 

METHOD

STEP 1: In a pressure cooker add the soaked chickpeas with enough water. Pressure cook for 6-7 minutes or till the chickpeas are cooked well.

STEP 2: In a large bowl, add all the ingredients including the chickpeas. Mix well. Taste and if required add more of the chaat powders or salt. Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.




PANEER WRAP (sandwich wrap)




A wrap is a type of sandwich made with a soft flatbread rolled around a filling. The usual flatbreads are wheat-flour tortillas, lavash, pita or Indian roti (phulka) ; the filling usually consists of sliced meat, poultry, but we are using paneer and bell peppers. This is a simple, easy and a very tasty Indian wrap.

Preparation time 15 mins
Serves 2

INGREDIENTS
Tortilla sheets 2 (u can use roti)
Paneer cubes 1 cup
Red capsicum 1 tbl sp
Yellow capsicum 1 tbl sp
Onion ½ sliced
Tomato 1
Tomato sauce 1 tsp
Red chili powder ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Cheese spread 2tsp
Oil 1 tbl sp

METHOD
STEP 1: Heat oil in a pan add sliced onions, fry them until they turn golden.
STEP 2: Add diced tomato, chili powder, tomato sauce and salt, mix them well. Cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.

STEP 3: Add diced capsicums and paneer cubes. Add some water; cook them on a medium flame for 3-4 
mins, while stirring occasionally. Your mixture is ready, set aside.


STEP 4: Place a tortilla on a clean dry surface, spread 1 tsp of cheese and arrange a portion of paneer mixture in the centre of the roti  and roll it up tightly.


STEP 5: Now place the wrap on toaster, and toast it for a min or you can toast it on a frying pan until slightly golden. The paneer wrap is ready to eat.




VANILLA CUP CAKE






VANILLA CUP CAKES

Preparation time 35 mins

Serves 10 -12 cup cakes

INGREDIENTS (for the cup cakes):

BUTTER ½ CUP (Soften at room temperature)

Self raising flour 1 AND ¼ cup
Milk 2 TBL SP
Sugar 1 cup
Salt ¼ TSP
Eggs 2
Baking powder 1AND ¼ TSP
Vanilla essence 1 TSP 

For icing and garnishing: 
Fresh cream (full fat) 250 ml
Powdered sugar 2 tbl spn
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Wafer daises
Sugar strands

METHOD

STEP 1: Preheat the oven to 180 c.

STEP 2: Sift the self-rising flour and salt together in a bowl. In another bowl, beat the unsalted butter and sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Mix in the vanilla extract.



STEP 3: Gently beat the flour mixture into the butter mixture. Now add milk to it. Beat until just combined; do not over mix.

STEP 4: Take a cup cake pan grease it with butter. Fill the prepared cupcake liners with batter 3/4 full, and bake in the preheated oven for 15-17 mins or until golden-brown on top.(take a toothpick insert it in the center, if it comes out clean your cup cakes are ready). Set aside to cool for 10 minutes, and then remove from the cup cake pan.
                              

STEP 5: To make the icing;

Beat the cream in a chilled bowl with an electric mixer set on Low until the cream begins to thicken. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla essence. Increase the mixer speed to High, and beat until the icing forms soft peaks, about 5-7 minutes. Your icing is ready. Now spread them using a icing tube, bags. Garnish it with sugar strands and wafer daises.

                                 






CHICKEN CHEESE SANDWICH


CHICKEN CHEESE SANDWICH
Preparation time 15 min
Cooking time 10 mins

INGREDIENTS
Brown bread 8 slices()
Chicken 150 gms
Butter 1 tsp
Black pepper ½ t sp
Ginger 1 pieces (1 ½ long)
Garlic 2
Green chili 1
Salt to taste
2 Cheese triangles or u can use 2 tbl spn of cheese

METHOD
STEP 1: Boil the chicken with ginger, garlic, black pepper and green chili. Set aside.

STEP 2: Grind the chicken and other ingredients. Your sandwich filling is ready.

STEP 3: Apply butter on one side of the bread.

STEP 4: Now evenly spread the filling over the bread and cover it with other bread slice. Your chicken sandwich is ready .

  
 

MASALA OATS





Oatmeal is one of those foods everyone thinks is super healthy. But, is that always tasty? My answer will be no, not always. So I came up with this recipe which healthy and satisfies your taste buds too. Lets learn to make a healthy tasty oat meal.
Preparation time 10 mins
Cooking time 10 mins
INGREDIENTS
Oats 1 cup
Olive oil 1 tsp
Onion ½ finely chopped
Tomato ½ chopped
Ginger garlic paste ½ tsp
Coriander leaves ½ cup chopped
Carrot finely chopped 1tsp
Capsicum chopped 1 tsp
Yoghurt 1 tsp
Chili powder ½ tsp
Coriander powder ½ tsp
Turmeric ¼ tsp
Salt to taste
Lemon juice1/2 tsp
Method:
STEP1: Heat olive oil a pan fry the chopped onions until it turns golden. Now add ginger garlic paste, chopped carrot, capsicums and coriander leaves sauté it for a min.
STEP 2: Add chopped tomato, yoghurt, chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric and salt cook them for 2-3 mins until the oil separates. The masala is ready.
STEP 3: Add 2 cup of water to the masala.Let the water boil now add the oats cook for 3-4 mins. Finally add lemon juice. Your masala oats ready to serve.

CHAT SANDWICH



 Sandwich is the most popular snack with world-wide eaters. Sandwiches in  Indian cuisine are popular for its varieties with various fillings. Chat sandwich is one of its kind. It is a unique with fillings which are commonly used in our chat recipes. So let proceed with our chat sandwich recipe.

INGREDIENTS
 
Potato - boiled and mashed 1 cup
Kabul chana - boiled and mashed ½ cup
Bread slices 8
Capsicum finely chopped 1 tbl sp
Chaat masala 1 tsp
Chili powder ¾ tsp
Cheese spread 1 tbl sp
Lemon juice 1 tsp
Coriander finely chopped 1 tsp
 Shredded cheese 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil 1 tbl sp
Butter 1 tsp
 
METHOD
 
STEP 1: Take boiled and mashed potatoes and Kabul chana  in a bowl. Add chopped capsicum, chili powder, chaat masala, cheese, coriander leaves and salt. Mix all of them together. Set aside for 10 mins. Your filling is ready.







 
 STEP 2: Spread cheese over the bread. Add the filling over it and cover it with other bread.  


STEP 3: Heat oil and butter in a pan. Fry the bread until it turns crispy. You may even toast them.
  

STEP 4: Garnish it with cucumber and chat masala. Your crispy chaat sandwich is ready to serve.
