Aaloo tikki means a small cutlet or croquette.Normally the mashed potatoes are mixed with chopped veggies like carrot, beans, capsicum etc. Here Im gonna stuff it with spicy kheema (minced meat).

INGREDIENTS
Potato’s
3(boiled)
Salt
to taste
chili
powder ¼ t spn
Egg 1(beat)
Bread
crumbs 2 tbl sp
For filling:
Kheema - minced meat - 150 gms
Onions 1 large finely chopped
Green chili 2
Ginger
garlic paste 1 tsp
Salt
to taste
Coriander leaves ½ cup
Red chili powder ¾ tsp
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Oil 2 tbl sp (for frying).
METHOD
STEP 1:Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan, add the kheema, salt,
turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, chili powder and dry roast it. Now add 1 cup of water and let the kheema cook.
STEP 2: As the water evaporates, add ghee, chopped
onions, green chili, and coriander leaves .Cook all of the them together until
the onions turn little brown. Now your filling is ready. Set it aside in room
temperature.
STEP 3: Boil the potato’s. Peel and mash them while they
are warm.
STEP 4: Now add salt, chili powder and some coriander
leaves.
STEP 5: Take a small amount of the mashed potatoes,
divide them into 2 equal portions. Make them in a round shape and flatten them.
STEP 6: Take 1 portion of the flatten mashed potato,
place your kheema over it and cover it with the other portion. Now your tikki
is ready to fry.
STEP 7: Dip the tikki in beaten egg and coat it with bread
crumbs. Heat oil in a pan, fry the tikki until it turns golden. Serve it with
ketchup or any chutney you like. A delicious evening snack for kids and your hubby. Hope you like it.
